Whitley is potty trained!

We decided at the end of July to give the potty training a try. Even though she was only barely past two years old - we wanted to see how she did. We had lots of people tell us to wait, but others say she was showing signs she was ready. So we went for it - we went and bought new panties & a minnie mouse potty for her & I dedicated a whole week to potty training her. This meant we couldn't leave the house & I had to be by her side around the clock (minus sleeping). To say it was exhausting is an understatement - it was not fun! But of course it paid off & she caught on pretty quickly! Yes, for a few weeks following we would have random accidents but we know it will take several months for her muscles to develop and strengthen to control everything. She's doing so great though! And going back to only one is diapers is a major perk!

Nixon: 4 Months

Nixon's 4 month stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 4 oz {76%}
Height: 27 1/4" {98%}
Head: 43 1/2 cm {81%}

Nixon is just a big ray of sunshine. He smiles all day long & not to mention his smiles are BIG! In fact, I don't think they could get any bigger. He is getting stronger everyday & rolls from his back to his tummy but hasn't figured out how to make it back to his back  again. He doesn't love the car (carseat) as much as he used to but he still tolerates it which makes our lives a little easier while traveling. He has started to hold his own bottle & that's helpful for Mommy. He was diagnosed with a slight torticollis in his neck. We went to the physical therapist and she doesn't think it will take long to correct it. We love our little guy!

Whitley's 2nd Birthday Party!

Whitley turned two & we had a blast throwing this birthday party for her! She loves Minnie Mouse so we decided to theme her party around all things Minnie & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We had lots of treats, fruit, and cake for all of the guests as well as a super fun bouncy house! She had so much fun & I think her favorite part was being sung to & blowing out the candle on her Minnie cake. She wanted to do it over and over again!
