Last monday (Dec. 7) was Tyler's 22nd birthday, I know old huh? :) Tyler was lucky enough to get the whole day off of work, so we spent the day hanging out together. We celebrated with the whole family (except Karli & her bf Chase) that night at Texas Roadhouse, one of our all time favorites! Tyler received some great gifts including, a PS3 game, a gamestop giftcard, an emergency car kit, a basketball & basketball shorts. We had a great time with everybody & are very grateful for everyone coming out to get together! Tyler is now the same age as me for approximately 2 months :)

My niece is so flippin' cute. I took this video of her today while visiting her GREAT GREAT grandma for the very first time. She loved grandma's bells! Sorry about the crappy color in the video I'm not quite sure why it recorded that way. You may need to turn your volume up as well.

..Ignore the fact that I have NO makeup on.. but I enjoyed spending time with my great grandma today because I rarely get to see her! She's so funny and cute, it makes me laugh!

2 month catch up!

Alrighty, well first off I should warn you that there isn't much of an order to this post.. I added a bunch of random pictures from the last two months in hopes of explaining what we've been up to. Probably the biggest thing that happened is our two week vacation to Florida & an Eastern Caribbean cruise (pictures below). Other than that it's been semi-normal in the Gapinski home! We are very grateful that we had the opportunity to go on vacation & we fill very blessed. Scroll down to see what we've been doin..

I had to take a picture of this because even though Toby is being mischevious & trying to eat the "puppy" food, it just proves that he is such a SMART boy!

Now jumping to our vacation.. this is us at Downtown Disney. We ate at House of Blues and took our picture by Planet Hollywood :)

We stayed for Universal Studios Halloween night, which only happens on select dates in October & they close the park down and re-open it full of haunted houses & scare zones. This is us waiting for the fright night to start!
Our second theme park day was spent at Islands of Adventure. This is a picture of us in the Dr.Suess land with Cat in the Hat!
We decided to do some temple work before going home at the Orlando Temple.

Now we are jumping to our cruise!

On our last night of our cruise (t was a really stormy night) our ship saved 3 men from a tiny fishboat that had been stranded in the middle of the ocean for 5 days! It was an awesome experience to witness & I am sure we will never experience that again in our whole lifetime! This picture is of the lifeboat that saved them.

Tyler was chosen to be on a "game show" and he won the whole thing! So what did he get you ask? A bottle of CHAMPAGNE! haha. He gave it to some random guy on the Lido Deck.
In St.Maarten, Tyler and I went parasailing over the ocean! It was such a fun experience & next time we are going to do 800 feet in the air instead of 400.
This is Henry, our tour guide in St.Thomas, we loved every minute with him. He made it so easy to learn about St.Thomas and to not get lost!

I almost forgot to mention that we didn't go on vacation alone! We went with one of my best friends Kiera and her husband Jeff. We had so much fun! This is us at the Comedy Club on the ship.

Alright done with the vacation! On with our lives... Tyler and I got the opportunity to go to a Jazz game a couple weeks ago. Not only that, but we were sitting on the 12th row! It was a great game too because the Jazz won :)
On Halloween this year we all gathered at my parents house (minus my parents & micah who were in St.George) and we continued the tradition of grilling hot dogs for the trick-or-treaters. This is my sis Karli stuffing her face with a hot dog :)

Tim & Megan were dressed as Jim & Pam from the "office" & Emerie was the cutest penguin you'll ever see!

Just before Halloween, we all went to the Hogle Zoo. They were doing a day where all the little kids dressed up and got candy at different parts of the zoo. It was fun going with everyone & seeing Emerie dressed up! This is Em with Grandpa!
On a bittersweet note... we finally sold all of our puppies! It was really hard to watch the last one go because we had grown really attached to her.. BUT she went to an AMAZING home and will be spoiled rotten, so that makes us very happy. We are also happy because we get to see one of them a bunch because he was adopted by Tyler's parents! Roxi (the mother of the puppies) doesn't quite know what to do with herself now that all her "playmates" are gone... but at the same time she was getting exhausted!
I will try harder to post more often so when I do post they aren't so messy! Thanks those of you who got this far, I'm proud of you! :) Let's hope for a simple Thanksgiving post next time shall we? Speaking of Thanksgiving, I hope you all have a great one & remember to be thankful everyday!

On a side note... TWO years ago today Tyler asked me to be his wife! I love you Ty!

We are leaving in less than 12 hours for a much deserved and anticipated almost 2 week vacation! We will be spending a few days in Florida and then hopping on a cruise ship and sailing away. We'll find ourselves indulging in the warm sun & beaches of the Eastern Caribbean, as well as enjoying every minute of not having to cook, clean or lift a finger ;) The food will be great I'm sure! I hope it doesn't get TOO cold for you guys.. and hopefully we will come back A LOT darker than you too. ;)

...August..flew by!

Well.. here I am again.. over a month since my last post trying to make an update on our busy lives. So here goes...

Been super busy still shooting mostly weddings, but also portraits & families.

Went to girls camp (as a leader now...) & had a blast! We camped in Star valley & got to go river rafting down the snake river, SO COOL! We also had some very spiritual experiences and had to exercise our faith when we got 2 out of 4 cars stuck in very deep mud!

Roxi had her puppies! Last night in fact! After about 5 hours of labor, she had 2 girls and 2 boys! All are healthy & cute as can be!

Lily (Roxi's daughter, who is my Mom's dog) had her puppies too! She was actually due after Roxi but ended up having hers about 15 hours before Roxi, so all the puppies have the same birthday! The picture above is Lily's tiny tiny baby girl.. isn't she precious?

Lily is such a good mommy too! She had 2 girls and 2 boys as well!

I got glasses! Ok.. so I don't have to wear them unless I'm working on my computer or doing tedious upclose work.. but they have been helping with my headaches! Phew!

Other things that happened in August:

• Nephew Porter got blessed
• Mom turned 50
• Family fun @ the bee's game
• Shopping with my sisters at the gateway
• I got to take Tim, Megan & Emerie's family photos
• I was SUPPOSED to have my first slowpitch softball game last night (but Roxi went into labor an hour before my game)

Things to look forward to in September:

• More softball
• Seeing a couple of my friends I haven't seen in months
• Going to Lagoon for the first time in FOREVER
• Shooting my first wedding in Park City
• Participating in the Buddy Walk with Porter and our family
• Counting down the days til our cruise! 37 days until Florida, 40 days until the cruise!
• Watching Roxi's puppies grow & change
