The road of life is a dangerous place!

It is time for another little "Tyler Rant and Rave session." I just felt that I should just throw out a little reminder to friends, family, and anyone who reads this, to be safe out there on the highways of life! This is being brought on by two near wreck experiences in the past two days while driving along I-15. Neither of which were caused by me in any way, shape or form. On Sunday, Rachael and I were driving home from her Great Grandma Hazel's birthday party with her mom and dad. As I was driving I noticed a Silver truck coming up behind me who had been swerving in and out of his lane. It was pretty apparent to me that this guy was either a few deep, or falling asleep at the wheel. I decided that I would slow down to make sure that he was no where around me. As he flew past I saw a cowboy with a red atv in the back of his truck and made the decision that he was most likely drunk . :) As he drove by I told Randy that I didn't want to be anywhere near this crazy person because he was going to hurt someone. As he continued to swerve in an out of his lane, crossing traffic, we decided that we better report this guy before he hurt someone. Sure enough while Rach's dad was on the phone with 911, this drunk cowboy swerved across three lanes of traffic, then tried to correct his mistake by jerking on his wheel. This sent him spinning and all hell broke loose! Cars were swerving everywhere to avoid him! I slammed the breaks and watched as his truck finally came to a stop about five feet from our car. He then sped off and wasn't even concerned to see if he hurt anyone.
The second experience is less intense, but equally annoying! Today as I was driving to work I almost got run off the road by a mom in a mini van who decided that it was her time to change lanes, and it didn't matter that I was there. Obviously she couldn't have been distracted by the phone call that she was in the middle of. I blared on my horn and she swerved out of my lane after I had been forced on to the rumble strips. She then proceded to get behind me and flash her headlights at me. SERIOUSLY?!?!? Are you freaking kidding me? So I have prepared a statement to all people who shouldn't be on the road!

Dear bad drivers,
I would like to go on record saying that, "I don't appreciate my life, and the lives of my family and friends, being put in jeopardy everytime you decide to get behind the wheel of your car. I would really appreciate it if you took some time to actually focus in on the task at hand, DRIVING! Next time you are thinking about commandering a piece of equipment that weighs several thousand pounds I would appreciate it if you would take a moment to ask yourself if you capable of doing so. I don't want to see you on the road if you have been drinking all day with your friends, if you are on a phone call that you think is more important than everyone's live around you (it's not), if you forgot to shave, or anything else that would impare your judgment and focus."

If you aren't a bad driver then you probably agree with me in most, if not all, of what I have said. If you are a bad driver you are probably either offended or thinking you should change. I would ask that either way, Please change!

Now that I have spoken my piece I feel a little bit better. Ha ha So we will see you when the next Rant and Rave session comes around!

Softball in the St.George Sun!

The past weekend was spent in St.George with my family! But I was only missing one MAJOR part, my husband! It was sad not to have him there, and I missed him lots but these are the things I was thankful for this weekend:

1. a safe arrival in St.George Thursday night
2. seeing my grandma & grandpa harris, I ♥ them!
3. watching my little sister play softball for Davis High (they did great! only lost one)
4. going to in'n'out burger
5. trying to eat fish for the first time in a LONG time, & not loving it :] (the rolls were good though haha)
6. soaking in the St.George sun
7. getting to see my cousin play softball for Dixie High
8. having my puppies there with me (it also helped me sleep better since Tyler wasn't there)
9. no car troubles (we drove my murano)
10. and a safe arrival home!

It was really nice to take a little vaca to my old hometown where I spent my childhood years :]
But I really missed Tyler & was happy to come home & see him! Hopefully next time he can join us!

Rascal Flatts 2009!

Rascal Flatts was back in town this past week, and it was my 4th & Tyler's 3rd time seeing them in concert! I'll admit (for Tyler's sake) that I am the one who gets the tickets every year & somehow forces Tyler to go with me :] I know he enjoys going, but he's probably getting sick of going to see the same group in concert every year.. maybe soon we'll go to someone else but for now I'm totally satisfied with my buddies, Rascal Flatts!

*Sorry beforehand, these pictures suck because we had to take them with Tyler's phone. My iPhone died right before the concert, & we forgot to bring a camera...

This year, Jessica Simpson opened for them. I'll admit I wasn't too excited about seeing her & did not expect much more than a dumb blonde.. boy was I wrong! She was seriously awesome! I found out a few things about her that I didn't know before she told us..

1. She isn't a real blonde

2. She is really into religion (she was continuously talking about God, Prayer & Love throughout her whole time on stage)

3. She can sport the most outrageous shoes on the planet & manage not to fall on her face (look at pictures to see what I mean!)

4. The rumors were NOT true.. she is NOT fat! In fact she looked down right unbelievable! & she has P E R F E C T legs! (totally jealous...)

5. Despite forgetting words to her own song, she still managed to not look stupid & totally laughed at herself & admitted to forgetting words to at least one song (that she wrote remember) at every concert!

6. She is a HUGE Dolly Parton fan & Dolly asked her to sing one of her songs on her album.

After seeing her perform, I am planning on getting her new CD.. she wrote most of the songs & they were all good!
The boys were just as good this year as they have been in the past & are so entertaining on stage!
We got 4th row tickets on the floor this year & half way through the show we made our way to standing right against the stage, which was totally great! :]
Something that I found really cool was that (besides Rascal Flatts themselves) all the rest of the band were people from Salt Lake City! Apparently they have auditions in every city or something so that people get the chance to perform with them! How awesome is that?!

It was such a fun night & I'm so glad I got to spend it again with Tyler! He's a good sport for putting up with my craziness...
